Check Signing - Perspective from Realtor to Owner
I write so many checks per month. Our business alone "The Somers Team" writes countless checks every month for bills and expenses. We have another account for our Philadelphia Investment Properties that we write all the checks for the bills and expenses associated in managing those properties. And the same thing for our personal bills as well. It takes a lot of time !
However, this week I was signing checks of a different kind ! I was signing the commission checks of the agents in the office and it felt great ! I was not only very happy to see all the volume each day being the first week of the month, but more importantly it was a great feeling to be able to sign these checks being part owner of the company for all of the great agents to be compensated for their hard work.
I know that it may not seem like much to others, but my perspective is starting to shift a little bit from Realtor to that of Owner. I take a lot of pride in the fact that I am in involved in owning and managing an office, providing an environment and vibrant work atmosphere where agents can thrive and be extremely successful ! My partner is on vacation this week, so the duties of check signing was mine this week, which brought about this perspective and blog post.
I think the rest of the year is going to be a great time for Agents to gain market share and the turnaround in the housing market is already upon us. Thus there will be many more checks to sign !
