Philadelphia Home Buyers, the $8,000 Tax Credit and The End of the World?

Alan Zibel of the National Associated Press recently reported how the $8,000 tax credit has driven the surge in home sales across the nation.  In this article Stephanie Somers was quoted saying:

"It was like the end of the world, All the first-time buyers converged onto that one month." ~ Stephanie Somers

Here's the full article.

We have certainly seen this to be true in the Philadelphia Real Estate Market with an incredibly busy fall due to the $8,000 tax credit combined with record-low mortgage rates.

With April 30th as the new deadline, homebuyers will continue to benefit from these incentives helping to spur demand and sellers can look forward to getting their homes listed and sold in a realistic timeframe.
