Motivational Speakers - Seeing Darryl Davis Live !
I think it is critical, no matter what industry you are in, to always seek opportunities to learn and grow in your business, whether it be taking additional courses, reading on self-improvement or seeing motivational speakers. So last week when I had the opportunity to be a part of the RE/MAX Satellite Network live audience for Darryl Davis, I jumped on it.
Darryl's presentation was on "How to Dramatically Increase Your Production in Today's Market". It was superb. Darryl is extremely energetic, engaging and funny. If you have not had a chance to see or listen to him, I would highly recommend it as well as visitinghis main site to learn more about Darryl Davis. I certainly learned a few things that I think will help me take my business to the next level. Some of the highlights were the following:
- Stay focused by setting monthly goals
- Make your goals"urgent" and time-sensitive
- Make yourself accountable to your daily goals via an "Integrity Sheet"
- Become a Master Prospector
- Focus on 4 levels of prospecting: Referral, REO, Expireds and FSBOs
- Strategies to get your listings sold - know your audience !
- Be in touch with your sellers !
- Transparency and communication is key.
- Converse instead of present
- Be tech savvy (if you do not have a laptop, get a laptop bag !)
- Attract Ethan Allan buyers versus E-Bay buyers
- Use stories, metaphors and analogies to get your points across
- Also utilize 3rd party validation when working with buyers and sellers
- Become an expert objection handler.
- Practice Kaisen = constant improvement
- Focus on Your "Next Level" ... be clear on determining what your next level is !
One can apply Darryl's message to any industry for greater success and motivation. Above is a photo from his presentation. Darryl has been a Master Trainer for the past 18 years. He is also a best-selling author of his book "How to Become a Power Agent in Real Estate"as well as a Featured Comedian at Caroline's Comedy Club in New York City. It certainly sounds like Darryl found it within him to take his career to the next level !! I think all of us can do the same as well.
