Being Around Successful People Elevates Your Success !
We have been so fortunate to recently attend Raincamp Philly and Real Estate Bar Camp Atlantic City. I have to come to realize that it is not about what you learn sometimes at these events, it is about who you meet and get to network with and build relationships with. It is those people that you will stay in touch with that can really inspire you to help build your business and learn from over the years in addition to learning a few tricks from the trade at an event.
Back in July 2008, I wrote a featured blog "Who Do You Surround Yourself With ? " which is a great read again today. The premise is the more successful people you surround yourself with, the more successful you will be.
The flip side of that is true as well: A very simple example is that if you want to do drugs, hang out with folks that do drugs. If you want to be successful, hang out with the successful folks ! For myself, it is important to be part of a positive and energetic culture with a lot of top producers as that benefits me and inspires me to grow in my business and be a top producer and top owner at RE/MAX Access. Thus, it is important for a new agent or a seasoned agent to evaluate where they are once a year to make sure that they are being inspired and that they are in the right place for them to maximize their success.
This is so important as one's choices can impact their success for the rest of their life ! Obviously success lies within oneself, but a lot of it will lie in who one surrounds themselves with: their loved one, their support group and friends, their office that they work at and so forth.
So if you are reading this, no matter what industry you are in, this is something to think about for 2011 !
How can you relate to this ?
