Have you ever been to the supermarket when you see some strange lady, one hand pushing the cart, the other waiving around wildly in a loud rant seemingly talking to herself in the cereal aisle? Hey, it happens to me all of the time. Then as you nervously pass her in the frozen food section (laughing hysterically into the ice cold air) you notice the ridiculous bluetooth sticking out of her ear.
How many times have you been in a public place like an elevator when some jerk is yapping away super loud on his cell phone? I want to say shut it, buddy. These are cramped quarters!! I know Chris is a self-proclaimed text-walker and my assistant admits to walking into street signs while texting. That is just dangerous! But my all-time favorite is the bathroom talker. Do they think we can't hear them flush?!
Just the other day I was so engrossed in editing a video that I missed an engagement! I was mortified and the people I was meeting were not happy, either.
Is technology turning us all into jerks?
My tip this week is a personal challenge to myself and to you. Let's all begin to put our cell phones down, our eyes up and be more aware of where we are and in my case, where I need to be!
