Working With Your Home Office

There are some days that don't always end after you leave the office. You come home to find those emails that you can't ignore, or that report that you didn't finish, or maybe you feel compelled to get a jump on tomorrow's workload. That's what a home office is for, and we find that more and more, people are interested in having an extra space that's just right for their desk and work supplies. You want your home office to be someplace that's comfortable, with few distractions, but you definitely don't want to feel like you're still at work. It should suit your style, reflect your needs, and have plenty of light. We took a look at some home office options for you workaholics out there.

Knoll is known for their office furniture, and they also have a wide selection of home office ideas. We think the Albini Desk has a clean, uncluttered look, with built-in file storage. A Knoll Life Chair is one of the best investments a person can make if they work at home or spend hours at their desk. The chair can be adjusted to your personal body preferences for an ergonomic experience.

For style without the price, you could check out these CB2 office chairs, The Bubble Chair, and the Studio Office Chair.

As for lighting, Old City's OLC has more desk lamps and lighting options than anywhere else we can think of. The Esa offers a more serious , classic look, while the Berenice is flexible and will work with almost any desk.

If you don't have office space, we have the perfect solution. The Box Office from myfab.com folds up and is easy to store. The only catch - it's not available from their U.S. store yet. Here's to hoping - while it's not the most cushy office setup, it sure would do for a smaller home.
