See all of those toys? They'll be igniting smiles on the faces of many children this holiday season. Hyperion Bank in Northern Liberties and the 26th Police District are at it again. Last month, their Holiday Food Drive made Thanksgiving dinner possible for several local families. Well, they didn't forget about Christmas presents. The Northern Liberties bank's employees did some shopping this year and purchased a variety of toys in conjunction with Community Relations Officer P/O Annamae Law.
“We are the area’s community bank. It’s important to the people who work here to get involved. We may not all live locally but we work here every day. It’s our neighborhood too and we care about those in need who are in our own backyard," said Joe Matisoff, Hyperion Bank President & CEO.
“It’s wonderful to see a local business work so hard to weave themselves into the fabric of our community. And the folks at Hyperion Bank have really been helping us to make a difference here in our neighborhood," stated Officer Law.
We love hearing local stories such as this one, where we are reminded that a small act of generosity can have a big impact on a child. Do you have a holiday story to share?
