Northern Liberties yoga school Sankhya is on the hunt for a new studio and they're scouting out North 2nd Street. They reached out to us to spread the word, and so we ask that you do the same for this neighborhood favorite (which is currently located on 4th Street and holds some pretty amazing practices).
If you're a business owner with an extra room or extra floor of space that you'd be willing to rent out to this yoga school, please get in touch with us or Sankhya! We'd love to help them find a new place in which to grow in the neighborhood. Here's what they're currently looking for:
- At least 700 sq ft (they currently occupy 1,500 but are willing to scale down the space)
- Half bathroom onsite
- Windows
- Storage space
- An empty lot or backyard for outdoor yoga classes if possible
- A small area for couches/lounging if possible
- Wood floors (for yoga mats)
Owner Keirra's mission is to keep the studio yoga classes at an affordable rate in addition to offering a by donation/pay what you can class. Says Keirra " We are open to ANY and ALL ideas to make this work."
"In the past, we had the awesome experience of sharing the space with an acting troupe, a martial arts stunt coordinator, artists, musicians, and the Philadelphia Independent Film Festival Offices. While that collective energy is very exciting and did serve us well for a time, as we grow and expand we hope to focus our energies on providing more yoga and wellness services for our clients and students, which may require a singular yogic atmosphere."
