Sometimes the best advice is short and sweet.
Go local.
Support your local businesses, artists, and community organizations. Ask for locally made products, merchandise, goods and services. The support you give your neighbors will improve the local economy and improve your neighborhood. Going local does not always mean you need to buy something. You can volunteer locally or start your own community group for a cause or unified goal.
Finally, perhaps the biggest tip of all is: Go Local but Don't Go Loco. No one likes a crazy!
