Take a Magical Tour With Us !
THE EVE OF THE 4TH OF JULY 2009
It was July the 3rd in Philadelphiaand we thought we'd venture into the city on foot to see what was going on. There is always something going on in Philadelphia. If you live in the area, you know that this was not only the EVE of the 4th of July but it was also the First Friday monthly event in Old City, when all of the Galleries open their doors and artists fill the streets with their most creative works of art for sale.
In Philadelphia, this is the weekend nearly the entire population of Philadelphia packs their towels and sunscreen and heads "down the shore". That's the Jersey Shore for those of you who have no Philly in your blood and don't know the difference between "the beach" and "down the shore". There is a difference, trust me!
So Happy 4th of July all and Here is a FREE Tour of Philly!
And in Philly if it's Free... Take it !

Thanks for the inside view of the streets of Philadelphia for First Friday. I loved the shot of Stephanie next to the fire engine and the guy laying on the street next to the big foot. Have a wonderful 4th of July! :)
Chris... did you and Stephanie see some good art? I love the foot one... I almost went down last night, but change of plans. I will be heading into the city tonight. Heading down to the shore the end of the month. Hope the both of you have a great 4th.
Donna - That fire engine is pretty incredible ! It was built in 1858 and is the oldest steam fire engine in America ! The big foot was a fun photo too ! Hope you have a great 4th as well : ) ~ Chris
Jeff - Yes, we did see some great art. Also, many of the art galleries had super crowds as well. It was still bustling even though many folks went down the shore. Also, Stephanie reminded me to tell you it is "down the shore" and not "down to the shore"... LOL, not sure what the difference is. Hope you have fun tonight in the city and enjoy the 4th ! ~ Chris
Well, I am going down to the shore... ah, wait... I am going to the beach. ;o)
Christopher and Stephanie:
Great tour, Philly's too cool!
Richard
Christopher and Stephanie, have a great 4th! I guess there will be lots of fireworks up there!
Jeff - LOL, I hear you. I grew up at Virginia Beach so for me, I still call it the beach : )
Richard - Yes, very cool indeed ! Is funny though when I first moved to Philly many years ago I did not like it all. Now I love it ! : )
Patricia - The 4th was awesome. I am sure you had a great time in NOVA / DC !
