Perspective: A snapshot of one person's revelation overlooking Northern Liberties !

Have you ever had a moment when suddenly you see yourself in perspective ?

Perhaps it happens when you peer down at the earth through the white fluffy clouds from your window seat during a flight. Maybe it was that time when the enormous steel freighter ship looked more like a plastic toy in the massiveness of the ocean.  Or when you first held your newborn child and you became deeply humbled by the thought there must be a loving and intelligent designer with a plan for this precious new life.

For me, I had one of those moments when I took this photograph of Chris in our new Northern Liberties office.  In life, the most impacting moments are often very personal realizations that create perspective.

When was your last moment when perspective was revealed to you ?

Very nice post...we are lucky when we experience something that "puts us in our place".

Stephanie..What a revelation a beautiful photo to go with it..It was this morning! In my cramped condo that is being redone (ceiling in my bedroom down all furniture in out and about and all around so I feel in chaos) I was Struck...It is surprising what chaos can do to a person....Great things are coming ..:0)

Now that looks like an office I could enjoy working in...

Congrats on the new space.

Sea to Sky - Yes, we definitely are !  Perspective is a beautiful thing.  Too often I end up getting too worked up over details or things that make no difference in life whatsoever.

Hannah - Good luck with your condo being redone.  We know the feeling.  Stephanie takes such great photos and captures some great shots.  You are quite handy with your digital as well !

Stephanie - Awesome shot!  It seems like it comes right out from a movie.

My last such moment like this was actually about an hour ago.  I was cleaning out the garage (okay, much less fancy in the visual sense) and all I saw around me were the colored leaves of fall sailing through the air.  Couple that with the warm fall breeze blowing on my face and I smiled to myself on this fine Fall Saturday.

Christopher and Stephanie:

Perspective is ones take in a brief moment. Looking from the ground would give a whole different outlook. To see what is really there, you must step out of the picture and rise above the situation.

I love the shot, especially the window lighting I guess.

Rita - Thanks !! Those moments are quite special indeed.

Richard - Yes, good take on perspective.  The ability to have that awareness is quite empowering.

Christopher and Stephanie - Great new ActiveRain photo and great photo of Chris.  Can I get an office with a window view?  I'd even work late just so I could see the skyline lit up (one of my favorite skylines to this day).
