You can find just about anything there, between the Vietnamese supermarkets, the South Street Whole Foods, and all of the treasures in and around the Italian Market itself.
Sabrina's Cafe is a famous brunch spot known for its stuffed french toast specials and local cafes like Chapterhouse and Creperie Beau Monde also add to the culture. There are many vintage shops and specialty stores in Bella Vista.
