Now that you're registered for the Kensington Kinetic Sculpture Derby or at least have it on your Google Calendar, let's go over the details:
- You can own one of these glorious t-shirts for only $15. Proceeds benefit the Derby.
- The Dapper Dog will be on site at the Trenton Avenue Arts Festival shortly after the Derby, doling out hot dogs to any hungry customers and derbyists.
- Craft vendors for the Arts Fest announced so far include Be Frank Studios (printed cards) from Fishtown, handmade jewelers Bud & Branch
- The human-powered sculptures will begin at Dauphin Street towards Frankford Avenue and loop through Penn Treaty Park before making the way back to the mudpit obstacle at Trenton and Dauphin.
- Our favorite award is for "Best Breakdown", so if your vehicle doesn't make it, keep that chin up.
- The Awards Ceremony will begin at 3:30 pm
- There will be free valet bicycle parking at the corner of Trenton and Dauphin Streets.
