Condo Source: Naval Square

Living in the city of Philadelphia isn't exactly a privacy-seeker's first choice. But at the The Naval Square Homes in Grays Ferry, you can have a more private, peaceful living experience that is steps away from cafes and shops. There are two options for your Naval Square experience. You can choose a Captain's Court Townhome with a private garage or a unique, historically renovated Bainbridge Court Condo. Phase 1 of Naval Square's 345 condominiums was so successful that Toll Brothers is now developing Phase II, to be completed in 2014, which will add 185 condos and 72 townhomes.

Peter J. Schneider, a home mortgage consultant for Wells Fargo, says that he and his wife were looking for new construction with reasonable condo fees when they came across Naval Square. Years later, he is quite happy with his surroundings.

"Coming home is like going to an oasis in the city", Schneider says. "It's a little off the beaten path but still just minutes from Center City."

One of the best features of Naval Square for Schneider is the pool, which opened on Memorial Day, and the beautiful, expansive lawns that are great for animal lovers or those with children. The Schneiders have a son, so the outdoor space is a huge bonus, and the proximity to Markward Playground and Taney Park make an active lifestyle easy.

The History: According to Naval Square's website, "In the early 19th century, the Naval Home property, a National Historic Landmark, served as the first home of the U.S. Naval Academy and as the nation’s first retirement home for sailors and marines."

The Goods: With a community center at Biddle Hall and sprawling grounds, on-site parking, 24-hour gated security, a state of the art fitness center, and a pool, what is the interior like? Good question. Naval Square features include walk-in closets, sundecks for the townhomes, and spacious layouts with stainless steel appliances and luxurious baths. You can see for yourself with a video tour on the website.

In the Neighborhood: Naval Square is situated in Grays Ferry, with a short walk to Center City and Fitler Square. If you like gastro pubs, you're in the center of a really good time, with gems like Resurrection Ale House and the Side Car Bar to name a few. Healthy Bites to Go is a cafe right around the corner that takes care of coffee and quick grocery needs, as well as a variety of nutritious salads and prepared foods. And who doesn't love the beer list and blackened green beans at Grace Tavern?

I had got a dream to begin my own commerce, nevertheless I didn't have enough of cash to do this. Thank goodness my close fellow recommended to utilize the credit loans. Thence I received the consolidation loans and made real my desire.
