The PERFECT Deal - It is NOT an Urban Legend !
Have you ever had the perfect deal ? Where all the stars aligned ? Where there was very little drama or no drama at all ? Where everything just worked out... Maybe it was not real estate related but something else happened, a job situation, a relationship, where all the little factors and elements aligned where the end result was just right...
Here is our story:
The Seller- Someone who "gets it", has a lot of experience in real estate and knows that a listing price needs to be priced right and knows his Fishtown market well for sold homes.
The Buyers - Have seen a lot of homes, looking for something special. Just backed out of a deal that was a complete rehab where questions had come up with termite activity. That house was just not for them.
The House- Very charming, 3 story, original details, perfect location in Fishtown, and just very special. EXACTLY what the buyers were looking for and they knew it from the moment they stepped in.
The Somers - One showing for the property and done. Both the buyer and seller were thrilled that we will able to match them together before we had a sign on the property. They were a match made in heaven.
And.... while other deals had drama going on, this deal was as smooth as butter, the home inspection process was drama-free, the mortgage process was streamlined, no issues with an appraisal and the settlement was extremely relaxing and enjoyable.
At the walk-through, it was a pleasure to see the new buyers hug each other and see their smiles and joy.
And to top it off, it was Valentines Day !

Great story. I haven't had the pleasure of this experience but I'm glad you did and I'm glad to know that it's possible. I wish there was something that we Realtors could do to make perfect stories happen more often.
Your couple is just beaming. You will never forget that the transaction happened on Valentine's Day either. Sounds like they literally LOVE you guys. Here is to more success in 2011. We haven't even hit the full stride of the spring market yet, so you are headed for a great year.

Thanks everyone for the comments ! Yes they are so happy and the house is amazing and has all the features they were looking for. The seller was quite happy too to be able to have a stress-free transaction to concentrate on his new house as well as his future goals.
