The sweet taste of Victory ...
... Victory beer that is during Philadelphia Beer week. Victory Brewing Company was the taste of the hour in Northern Liberties at The Foodery on N 2nd Street and Poplar. The place was packed with happy smiling faces. I am telling you, it was a very welcomed distraction for me at the end of a long day.

The Foodery has an enormous selection of really delicious and impossible to find beers. I am pretty much a simple Stella drinker but on occasion I have been known to experiment. Victory Beer is really popular in these parts. The Victory Brewing Companyhas a Restaurant in Downingtown, PA that I personally have visited for a fine meal (of which I have no recollection of what that meal was) but believe me, a great time was had by all!

If you are ever in Philadelphia, definitely visit the Foodery for a beer and sandwich. They have the best Panini and Deli food in the neighborhood and no better beer selection hands down. Plus the guys that work the counter are the best. They are the icing on the cake or perhaps I sould say, the foam on the beer. You know what I mean.

Beer Week - what a wonderful concept, if I ever get to Philly, I will certainly check out the Foodery. Thanks.
Mike - It is a great concept ! There are hundreds and hundreds of events all over the city. The Foodery is quite a place with close to 900 beers in stock ! Always a cool vibe there !
Lasttime I was in manayunk it seemed like there were a ton of good places to eat.
J Philip - Manayunk has some great places, but these days we are much partial to Northern Liberties : )
